    WTF!

I went to fill up this morning. Bypassed the local Esso because they removed their pay@pump in the weekend... Went further down the road and discovered the other one has done the same!

feckers have put what looks like manky old pumps in place with some trendy red synergy arse looking thing next to it with a few LEDs and... get this... A w*&^ky poster saying how much we'll love the new pumps and LED lights... Never mind the fracking 10 minute wait at the till because you can't put your card in the damn pump, fill up & be off!

Guess what Mr Esso! I DON'T like the new pumps. or the useless new LED's that provide NOTHING to make my filling up either more pleasant OR easier OR quicker! Are you all Morons at Esso HQ?

    Arse!

Could be even worse if they have a tesco or similar in them as you have to wait for some twat to decide if he wants cheese or ham sandwiches and what melon he wants for his tea before paying for his fuel!

Shell have just started a system to pay at the pump via their app on your smartphone.......that is except for motorcyclists, too dangerous to use your phone on a forecourt unless you are in the confines of your metal cage, and just to make sure, the minimum spend is 20 quid, so that just about rules out most bikes.

We have a BP down the road and I hate filling up there as they have turned it into food and drink place as well, which is theory I don't have a problem with. My issue is there is ALWAYS a huge queue of people waiting to pay for fuel and its ALWAYS down to some daft gits wanting a cappuccino or other coffee that takes ages to make which means the member of till staff has to go off and do it, why cant they sell them a token so they can make it themselves after they leave the queue???? That proper does my head in !!!!:mad::mad::mad:

    Rant over ;):):D

Sainsbury has taken out my local petrol station which has been great for the price of fuel as Shell was mage expensive in the local area. But the resulting waiting times as people are buying their weekly shop there instead of paying for fuel

I do wish they would keep 1 till open for fuel only.
And they have just gone to pay at the pump but I never do as I mostly pay for fuel by good old fashioned cash still

Thankfully my local Asda still has Pay @ Pump and no shop. I do try and avoid the bigger petrol stations with the M&S, Costa Coffee's and Tesco Express shops.
How often when you have pulled up to fill up, you can't, due to some idiot deciding that they'll do their weekly shop whilst paying for fuel, and your waiting for half an hour, as the queue is massive from these people holding everything up, and their car/Chelsea Tractor, is abandoned by a pump.

They should have motorbike only pumps :D

Let's look at a big plus we have tho, as in tootling past the queing cars to that just vacated space at a front pump they can't get to yet :D ....I like to complete the coup de grace with a high pitched rendition of Suckers as I pull up :D
Makes the wait for the till almost worth it

If they kept pay at the pump they couldn't look at me with disdain as I walk in without removing my helmet. It's either the look of "ignorant bastard" or "is he going to rob me??".

Yes that's right I've walked in making a show of having my debit card in my hand to rob you of £15 worth or petrol. For those that think it's ignorant if you hurried up and served me we I could both be on with our day in a couple of minutes. Alternatively I'll take up one of your pumps for 10 minutes removing my helmet, neck tube, earplugs and gloves, to then slowly put them all back on again whilst everyone queues behind me.

if you haven't done so, I recommend you contact their CS and politely tell them about how much more troublesome this is. Boasting a bit by saying that you and your twenty, thirty .... biker friend always made the point of using their station because of this convenience may get them to take more notice :)
