    hi can someone explain to me what paypal gift is its doing my head in theres things on here id like to buy
    of people but they want paying paypal gift and i dont understand what it means iv been on my paypal account
    and the word gift is not mentioned anywhere thanks.

    They want you to pay gift so that they dont have to pay fees to paypal. Only thing is if you gift your payment for the item and they dont send it you dont have a leg to stand on.

    ^^^ what he said... I think they've re-worded the website... paying "as a gift" is the same as the "Send money to friends or family".

    Best way of doing it is to pay for goods or services... then pay them the fees on top. e.g. If you wanted to pay them £50 then use a paypal fees calculator to see that you'd have to pay them £51.97 to include fees. That way you're protected. Example 'reverse fee caluclator' here...

    If you send as gift you pay the fees anyway so just send fees on top as said above just for the buyer protection.

    I don't think anyone pays fees if you send as gift Martin.

    If you have credit in your PayPal you don't pay fees but if your pp is. Empty it charges the sender
