Are PCV's model specific or is it just a additional model specific adapter loom that is? Never bought one myself, mine was on the bike already!
I thought depending on the number on the pc 5 if it fits a blade it would go from say 08 to 11 and the newer pc 5 does from 08 to 14 ? I could be wrong tho
Exactly. So it's 'specific' to those models. You can't then just get a loom as you do with the HM Quickshifters for example and fit on something else. There are no changeable 'looms' which is what I think he is asking.
HOWEVER, if you have done the research, you will find that (& dynojet do not have this on their site or anything) there is one exception to this rule that I know of anyway...(many more might exist)..... My PCV on my blade came off a 600rr and this was back when they hadnt released a pcv for my model. But because I had a 600rr and saw that the connectors were the same I tried it and hey presto it worked. It wasn't jus any pcv from any 600rr but specific years (07+) BUT, because they are completely different bikes in their set up and injection, you can't just load default maps for your bike model. The pcv won't accept their format. It will work alright but only if you get a custom map for your bike. Of which I did.... And I also have an auto tune module so I'm sorted. (Had promised myself I wouldn't try explain that but hey, there you go).
http://www.dynojet.co.uk/index.php/...DA&model=CBR+1000RR+FireBlade&year=2010&Go=Go Most maps available here chief.. I've had my bikes used for Libary maps and these boys are on the money
Upload the map nearest to your spec and then take it to be fine tuned. Cheaper than starting from scratch.
