Hi guys my 2015 fireblade i fitted a pcv to it and it rides no probs buy connecting my laptop I can see the dynojet software is saying the throttle is 40-50% at idle and actually drops off as I Rev the bike! I’ve tried doing a throttle reset according to dynojet website and manually entered the high low voltage and still doesn’t want to sit at zero on idle and when revved its still fluctuating down instead of up!! Has anyone had any issue like this with power commander set ups, as I say bike seems to ride smoothly although just cruising along its a tad jerky which was one of the reasons I bought it as it has a decat and racefit can fitted! I’ve got map switch and Neither make any difference switching while riding but I’m more concerned that it’s getting wrong throttle readings to what the bikes actually doing as surely it works out what to squirt the injectors at from throttle position!!
Not seen that before. You'll need to check the PCV loom. Specifically the the cable and connector that plug into the TPS.
Cheers pal came hole from work and decided to go over it all after reading up that quite a few people have plugged into the maf instead as the tps plug is hidden down the side of the frame! Swapped the plugs back over and worked a treat, I can see it properly going up and down on my laptop when I give it throttle, can’t wait to get out and ride it now as I imagine it will run so much better even though it felt smooth before except low down!
cant believe i did it pal, ex mechanic too I should know better but I can only think that I was in a giddy panic to get it fitted I just seen the blue maf plug and bridged it straight in lol I’ve been riding it about 5-6 good rides like that and wondering why it’s slightly stuttering low down, did you find it was any faster or just smoother once you corrected it pal?
My PCV was actually from a my previous CB1000R 09, same loom as the CBR. It just happens when transferred over I saw the MAF first so connected that (typical all honda connectors are different apart from MAF and TPS) Connected it all up to a laptop and the TPS readings were just all over the place, contacted Dynojet and they said it was very common mistake as the TPS is super hidden in the most inaccessible place lol. My set-up was with an Autotune and POD so built my own map, also PAIR valve blanked off. Over a couple of session and tweaks it was super smooth. Wasn't really bothered about peak HP as predominately this was a road bike but idle was dead steady even with an open yoshi and butter smooth mid range - just how I like it! Still yet to put on the PCV on my current CBR, lol been sat in the shed for 2 years!
Just been out on first ride since fitting it correctly and what a difference, needs a lot more respect on the throttle whereas before I could pin it easily! Loads more mid range torque
