    Monday 6th May Ride Out

We had a good run Monday albeit mainly dodging traffic:( SimonRR and I met up with Paul on his Millie and Jamesm09 at Macy D’s in Newark and made our way into the Peak District National Park, or car park on Bank holiday. A617 through Mansfield and Chesterfield and made our way up to the Ladybower via Baslow, Froggot and Heathersgate.

The A57 Snake Pass is always a good ride as long as you don’t mind sharing it with cars, cyclists, pedestrians and half the Derbyshire Constabulary. From Glossop we came down the A624 and picked up the A6 into Matlock. How busy was Matlock:eek: never again on a bank holiday:eek::eek: Bike everywhere, and I mean everywhere.

We only did 190 miles however, with the volume of slow to stationary traffic my clutch hand was so painful, and when I got home I had to use my right hand to lift my beer.

For anyone out that way the police have a white Blade in Police decals, nice looking bike, and a plain Audi A3 with tinted windows. James was just about to pass him when his light came on as he pulled a biker in front of us, close one James.

Thanks for the ride guys, I still managed to enjoy the day but next time we do this route lets be sure it’s not a bank holiday.

    Nice to meet you James

I'll join you guys as soon as my bike is ready.

The only time to have a good ride in the peaks is early morning or late evening... And never on a weekend or bank holiday anymore :-(

I used to do some amazing loops setting off from Melton Mowbray too which i can lead, will be slow until I remember how to ride again!

Yes was a good day and like Carl said, Good to meet James, and way to many cars and coppers on the roads

That copper also made me jump as I was just behind James when his blues and twos came on just in front of James, thought he was going to pull us all

bet James glad he didn't go for the overtake now :D

great roads though, would be awesome with less traffic and damn sight less coppers about lol ;)

Thanks for the ride out guys :D we must do it again sometime soon

    Simon
