Peak District Today

    Beautiful & sunny in the Peaks today.
    Headed down to Castleton to meet my mates who were on a yomp over Kinder. Usually join them but foot still injured so had to sit drinking coke & watch them get trollied on the ale instead :D

    Where is the "peak district", don't hear much about it ?

    It s in North Derbyshire, national park, and it's bloody lovely ☺

    Yep like Pete says it's lovely. I grew up here but although it's got some cracking roads & scenery, tourist traffic at weekends & nice days make it hard to enjoy on the bike!

    Unless of course you set your alarm for 6am on a Sunday sunny summers morning before the b@ggers get out of bed & the mobile speed cameras are up & running & then roads like the Snake Pass are delightful :)

    If you like walking with stunning scenery & the promise of good ale at the end I can recommend the hike across from Win Hill to Lose Hill above the Hope Valley & Ladybower. Great if you've dogs also :)
