is it normal to have loads of pressure in the petrol tank every time i wanted to open my filler cap it was either pressure out or so much suction it was giving me hard time after some time stopped and i did not bother just now to find out it was actually leaking petrol tank looks like dented out little it from pressure i dont want to buy new one unless i know what is wrong with it also can it be repaired or buying new one is it the only option ???
I remeber last year when spanner monkey did the valve clearance it was too late and he was just pushing the tank in its place and forcing so much to be able to put the screw on All makes sense Leak is coming from closest front side wall to injectors It is kind of not straight anymore Can I repair it or am I looking for new tank ?? Thanks för your help
Is the leak definitely coming from the body of the tank itself and not from one of the hoses? If it was forced into place then there is a good chance one of the hoses could have come loose or broken a plastic connector.
In all honesty if he's done this putting the tank on I wouldn't hold too much faith in their ability to check valve clearances. What year is the bike? Does it have a plastic cover over it? Can you post a picture identifying where it's leaking? If you are not comfortable removing the tank yourself, should only cost £50 max for someone to remove and inspect. Cheers Garry
you know what this is what i am tinking now maybe that jooker never done a proper valve clereance job he had 1 filler on his table and a older version of fireblade haynes manual my bike is 2004 yes one if the cable was cracked as well but after removing the petrol tank i realised actually there is a crack i am thinking of getting one of the repair kits the crack is too small really
