Been looking for a phone mount for a while and i wondered if anyone had any personal recommendations.

Quadlock seem to come out on top in most of the reviews but they are north of £70 for a stem mount, then they say you should get a vibration dampner as bikes can mess up the phones stability control on the camera This is of course extra still!

I use quad lock. Brilliant bit of kit.
I use my old iPhone7 - only for navigation so I could care less if the camera gets fucked.

Is it the stem or handlebar mount on your blade?

I use an ultimate addons case and mount for an old iphone running os maps on my drz400. It hasn't fallen off yet and the phone still works after getting wet. I can't vouch for its long term quality as I've only been out with it twice before the lockdown. It doesn't look as good as the quad lock but it's a fair bit cheaper.

I'm all Quadlock here. It's expensive, but worth it in my opinion! So easy to use and if you can hold out for when they have a flash sale on you'll save some money, or drop them a message and ask for a discount voucher, they'll give you one!

With fitting the stem mount, it's a bit of a faf. The Fireblade stem is to wide for the fittings that come with the Quadlock.

This is what I did to make it fit.

The car mount is brilliant to.
Before ordering just make sure they do a case to suit your phone.

Geez, I sound like a Quadlock ambassador :D

I have been using the Ram Mount X-Grip but found the rubber strap to be too much of a faff, and didn't trust it without it.

So this year I am going to use their Quick Grip.

Does anyone know how a quad lock can be fitted to an RR4-7 as the electronic steering damper sits in the way of using the stem mount and no room for the handlebar mount.

I like my quad lock but i do find it fiddly getting the phone to dock. Plus you need to remove the phone to get to the key i.e when getting fuel.

Not a quad lock but I removed one of the HESD cover bolts to fit a ram mount ball

Was there any faffing about or did the ram mount screw straight in and was the same size bolt? What attachments can you get for the ram mount? I just want something easy to fit I can attach a phone for satnav.

If you search ram mount they do a wide range of kit. Think I got my HESD mount made by Telferizer, just a case if giving him the bolt/thread size and he made one to fit.

He also made me one to replace a mirror bolt when I fitted blanking plates for taking on track.

Thanks yeah i've enquired with him before but then thought quadlock was they way to go but then couldn't find a way to get it to fit so never ended up with anything. Now I want to get it sorted once and for all. I'm not mechanically minded so no idea how to tell what the bolt size is so will email him asking if he already does one for the RR4 HESD bolt/thread. So basically Telferizer's mounts then take the ram mount accessories?

Yep, they have the ball you need for ram mounts.

I should have looked back through emails  I can get the esd mount plus an arm from Telferizer and then fit a ball mount quad lock to the arm! Think this is the way i'm going to go as I don't like the look of the ram mount x-grip for holding a phone.
