Loads at sweet lamb on the way to Aberystwyth , Got all the hide outs to watch them coming over the lake , Stunning ....
They were hunted to the point they almost vanished, now as folk say the M40 corridor through Bucks / Oxon is full of them
they re introduced the kites in the bucks area from sweden.denmark or somewhere like that and the young from over here taken to the north east and introduced up there yeah i know im sad!!lol
Yeah, you're right, sadly killed off by gamekeepers and land owners up here years ago. The RSPB have a few sites where they have successfully managed to reintroduce them from young from Norway and now have a successful breading program. Absolutely stunning birds. I nearly caused a pile up when I spotted them circulating above the road on the way back up from a course in Kawasaki. Couldn't believe how many there were. To have them in your garden must be awesome, I could watch them for hours.......
Counted over 40 of them once on the M40. Before I'd heard about the reintroduction in the area. I was gobsmacked at the sight.
