Well picked the SP up this morning came home had lunch and put 150 miles on it this afternoon, hands very sore when I got home tonight, never had that problem on the RR6, Apart from that not to bad. The bike itself is brilliant, brakes are great, ohlins are a bit harsh for the road, if you hit a bump or a pothole you really feel it,but on good Tarmac it feels really planted and very precise, think I will have to get that set up for my weight etc etc. Nice howl from the engine which starts at about 4000 revs, overall really impressed although the white will be a pain in the arse to keep clean
Mine isn't a SP but first thing I noticed was suspension having had my last Blade set up by Alpha suspension. 980 mikes later I have almost got it where I like it. Once you get this done you will love it
That looks stunning, well done, lovely bike. Sure you'll soon adapt to the different riding position.... Put a slight bend in your arms so that your forearms are closer to being parallel to the road surface. That may help you out...
Defo get the suspension set up for your weight and road use. You'll probably find you will need to fit heavier springs to get it spot on. Once done though it'll be like a magic carpet ride and what will make a good handling bike a great handling bike. Add in less jarring and you will find your wrists/hands won't take as much of a beating.
Agree With the harsh suspension for the road. Probably the best money you will spend will be on a custom suspension set up. Great bike.
Great looking bike. Lucky guy. I tried a standard 2014 blade yesterday and I must admit the standard can sounds much better than the standard one I had on my 2008 blade. Don't know why - just sounded good.
Hmmm. For something to do (other than ride) I've just disconnected the cable. Fired her up and the yellow "gearbox" light starts flashing ! So I put it back to how it was and its still flashing ! Any ideas ? It was running fine only yesterday !! Help..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I found this on another forum and hey presto my Blade appears fixed ! Is the positioning of the servo wheel that sensitive ? Anyway the engine management warning light has disappeared but a road test will be carried out in the next day or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did another 80 miles today, left hand sore straight from the off, don't know why, never had this problem on the RR6, tried bending my arms more, made sure I had a loose grip, was ok when I opened it up though,, something I'm just going to have to get used to the suspension is still a bit jarring at times although its better the faster your going,Deffo getting that done
how are the levers set up? if they are set too high it can exacerbate wrist bother, so many dealers do a pretty poor job of setting bikes up
