Picked up the new to me van earlier this week, and have been using it to get to work to make sure there are no issues. Good news is it's all good apart from a bad earth point for the tail lights. Easy fix. It wasn't my intention to get a van already prepped for trackdays, but this 1 popped up in the same price range as any other van, so went and seen and bought it. A few pics as always guys. The guy also left some handy notes for next year.
nice one - when do the alloys, running bars, bling lamps and other such stuff get fitted? A lot of time has gone into fitting that out - nice find
None of the above will be fitted to the van mate. It'll be a van for getting there and back only. No fancy stuff needed. I'll spend the money on tyres
Good as is mate. Will be fine parked outside a nice b&b somewhere Blimey though - he must of had a lot going through his head on a lap.... Mine would be ....don't crash here >! Here ^ or here < Ha
perfect Colin.. you going to have to commit to a lot of trackin this year now you've spend all this dosh!
The guy that used to own it was a guy called Jim Allan. Apparently a decent rider from up this neck of the woods. Though I'll just be like you mate. Please don't crash please don't crash all the way round And yes it will look good parked up next to a nice B&B
If I manage even 3-4 trackdays next year I'll be happy mate. Besides the van can be used for any other manner of jobs if needs be.
Great find Colin and no doubt it will be customed by you and Craig . I think Mad Matt is bringing out a series of " how to ride each track" cards ,with similar information than the sheet you have found .He said they will be IPad size and laminated and will come in a faux leather folder .
Not going to do much to customise it to be honest mate. Get some power in there incase there is a need to sleep in it for a night or 2, but that's about it.
Nice one Colin, bought one myself today, went halves with the brother in-law, pick it up next week, same van but with a Renault badge...
I saw this crash of Jim's. I have a saying.... If you don't crash occasionally, you're not trying hard enough! Jesus, Jim was going for it, believe me!! Colin, I have a spare room with double bed you're welcome to use if you fancy a go at Oulton.
