Looks like an awsome bike but..
I spent all summer looking for a bike before I got my Blade. I've owned Honda's before and was concious of not becoming stuck with one make. I realised I could afford a nice tidy 999 or one of the first 1098's all the hairs on the back of my neck stood up!! When I went to look at a 999s at a dealer I was disappointed with the fit and finish, sure its an awsome bike that would way out preform my talents, think I'll just settle for Honda build quality and looking at Ducati's in magazines.

Don't they say "don't meet your heroes" ........

Tbh I would have stayed clear of a 999.
848 and 1098 is a whole different ball game.

Hi guys update on the DUCATI had a meal last night with the garage owner, there are brand new Pirelli Corsas going on today, bloody ell the're dear. it has about £500 in bills from LUIGI MOTO (duc guru) no idea what for. says he might be open to a part exchange, and is asking about nine grand for it, i have checked fleebay and a local Bristol duc dealer is asking £10,500 for one, i am just passing on this info, i have no connection with this garage , cheers Ken.

Must admit , I had wanted a ducati for years and always thought they would be the be all and end all of bikes. When I was lucky enough to purchase a 748 I have to be honest and say i was a little disappointed. Yeah the bike is one of the best looking out there even by todays standards and the sound is like no other but on riding it I just couldn`t get comfy. It got to the stage where i could barely go longer than 45 mins without having to stop with wrists in agony , burning shoulders etc. it got to the stage where I was starting not to want to take it out. So chopped her in for the blade and it is so much different . Much better suited to my height riding style etc and now I can go out for hours without any pains.I also feel a lot more confident on the blade. I did think about gracefully retiring her to display in my lounge but thought against it and decided to let someone else enjoy her like it should be. it just wasn`t for me.
Anyway moral of my story is pretty much like you say..... things aren`t always what they appear.

Looks good, like that scheme, my bike was priced @ £8995 2007 9500 miles, so good price. Has he checked that the rectifier recall has been done, my bike had managed to miss it with owner changes, but riders motorcycles have sorted it with Ducati and it is getting done, new rectifier, battery tray and heat shield.
