Hi Lads, Haven't been here very long (bought my 'blade just as the present 'Ice Age' kicked in) so am still getting the feel of my bike and the forum and, therefore, may ask a dumb question from time to time. One thing I really must do is 'get rid' of the pillion f/rests and seat. So what I'm asking is; Does anyone know if Honda (or anyone else) produced a rear seat 'cover' in colours to match my HRC bike?

Get a white one El Nicko to match the tail section, you should find one on eBay.

    Agreed, white looks nice.
Just try not to get sucked into buying a Chinese copy, whilst they look good, the fit isn't as good as it could be, one or two lads have lost them whilst riding, plus any valuables they had under the seat at the time

Definitely a genuine Honda one as GaryB said.. You buy cheap, you buy twice.

Would be nice to get a white one but with a Red/Gold paint job that matches the red and gold of the lower fairing on my Blue/Red/Gold HRC bike. Has anybody done this? pic's please?

I got my chinese one on my RR6...

    seat cowl1.jpg

I would also heed the warnings about them coming off !!

I went to Box Hill Sunday, first time with this seat cowl, coming off the A3 I felt something touching my arse... pulled over and sure enough the seat cowl had come lose! I'm stiff baffled how as when you compare taking the pillion seat off to the seat cowl the seat cowl is harder as if to suggest it fits better!

I'm sure they are fine but I would suggest playing with the 4 screws that attach the fitting attachment to ensure the best possible fit.

Must admit for the rest of the ride it didn't give the greatest confidence and no pot holes were involved... although it didn't happen again ... got the pillion seat back on for now untill I check things out...

I had heard of them coming off the 04-07 but that also playing
With the brackets can make them more secure.

Thanks for the heads up guys..

When mine gets here and I fit it, I will try playing around with the fittings and give it a good wiggle and shake about before taking it out on the road

Only thing to do on the newer model ones
Is check they don't foul the seat unit at any
Point as unlike the older model they are usually
Very snug.if it does foul the seat unit this can easily
Be fixed with a quick hit with a file or stick rubber
Beading to the two mounts under the seat cowl.
