Sometimes on long runs, when I've been pushing on, but not short runs
Maybe try and relax your grip on the bars a little more

It's the throttle return spring causing this as your right hand is under constant muscle stress holding it open, hence why U don't tend to get it on ya left hand.

Have you got aftermarket bar ends fitted? I find that the lighter ones don't reduce vibe as much.

How tight are your gloves? Pins and needles are usually caused by compression of nerves.

Only when riding? At my age I get it when I wake up in the morning.

As Pete H said, I fitted replaced the OE bar ends with the heaver R&G ones on my Blade and it noticeably reduced the vibes.

as a suids life said, check your gloves. I had gloves that were a bit too tight and caused pins and needles all the time, problem was that if I went up a size the fingers were way to long. I ended up binning the gloves and buying another brand of gloves

As you state riding at low speeds, do you cover the brake lever with your fingers ?

This can cause the whole hand to be tense, the muscles and tendons, and this normally runs through the arms to the shoulders, everything becomes locked and tense, the whole weight of your upper body ends up pushing between your thumb and index finger onto the grip, and as a result gives you the symptoms you describe. Its exactly the same issue that afflicts a lot of track newbies.

I know its a personal thing, riding/filtering in heavy traffic daily, I do not cover the lever, as I feel that not only are you more relaxed, but there is less tendency to grab at or ride on the brake lever, or worse a big handful in panic.

I follow so many bikes in traffic that end up lasering my eyes where the guy is constantly dabbing the lever, but do not really have any impact on braking.

As posted maybe the gloves but also found again as posted it may be your not relaxing your arms/hands enough. I only had this when gripping to hard and found once I relaxed it was much better

If you cover your lever like I do, turn the levers down a touch. This made a world of difference to me,I only get it now when on long runs.

I get it in my right hand all the time ....

Dont let go of the bar but rotate your wrist so the pressure is off the bit below your thumb ...works for me ....

I had no problems at all with my ZX6R, but when I bought the blade I suddenly started getting pins and needles. I've always ridden covering my brake lever when riding on anything other than a clear road. I found the same comment as "Sideways" posted on another forum and gave it a go, adjusting the lever down. BINGO..... No more pins and needles.
