Hi guys, I'm looking for a exhaust for my 2010 blade & discovered this pipewerx exhaust on ebay: Honda CBR 1000 RR8 Stubby De-cat GP Carbon Race Exhaust | eBay Price seems pretty good & they come with a lifetime warranty. They also claim that no re-jetting is necessary. So i'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with pipewerx? How's the build quality & performance? They don't have any dyno results on the website. Here's a video of the sound, doesn't sound too bad: Pipe Werx GP3 exhaust - Honda Fireblade 2008-10 - YouTube
Yeah i've gone through that thread. What i'm more interested in is performance figures whether there are any HP gains. Also want to know if you can run these without a PC/Bazzaz unit. They claim that you can but a guy on the other thread claimed that the bike wasn't running well without one. So if i have to spend on a fuel controller i might as well get a more expensive exhaust that doesn't need one.
Had one of these, loved it. Build quality was very good, looked real nice, sounded absolutely gorgeous but sadly no the bike didn't run as good as it should have. had to buy a PCV an have it dyno'd. It ran better but the tickover was terrible constantly hunting. It gained about 5 bhp after dyno. Although I really loved this pipe I had to let it go for the betterment of the bike
Thanks for the reply! That's a shame then, i guess i should probably go for my second option which is a Leo Vince GP Pro II. It'll cost the same as getting the GP3 & a fuel controller. Plus there are no dyno's in pakistan & i don't want to have to mess around with setting up the bike. I would rather have a slip-on that doesn't require re-jetting. Btw what do you mean by tickover? Do you mean the bike wouldn't hold a constant idle & the rpm would be constantly surging? Also what exhaust are you running now?
Tickover is in other words just letting it idle, no throttle opening. It would hold its idle but yes it was surging all the time. I'm running a Yoshimura R77 now which I love. There are some pics in my profile gallery of both I think Regarding the Leo Vince, plenty of guys on here run them an they love 'em I think they also do there own dedicated refuelling box (like the PCV) specific to the bike an exhaust so it's just plug an play if you were interested but don't quote me on the schematics, a mate of mine had a Leo vince an it ran with no probs but in the end he still bought a Leo vince refuelling box an he said it was even better.
