Got mine through today, (thanks Jonny), just reading the cleaning instructions, and I think I've got more chance of a lick off Lassie than having that done properly on a Service. I'm a total mechanical numpty, so, bearing that in mind dear biking friends, how easy is it to fit/clean these filters?

    Cheers,

    JD

    Piece of piss mate.

To fit take off the seat and tank cover. Disconnect the electrical connectors on top of the air box. Undo the screws around the air box, and ur done mate.

I had a garage night on Saturday and took photos of how it's done. I'll get the pics up as soon as I get some time.

Oh i should have carried on then ! lol

It didn't lok like the filter would come out through that gap as the connectors looked in the way to open it fully .

Oh well , its in now and I'm running Mogsy's custom map with massive improvements to idle

mine is a 09 and i split the airbox using the lower set of screws, fairly easy once you split the fiddly connectors.

You won't need to clean it before fitting. It's ready to fit straight in.

They are pretty simple to service tho.
