Last week I posted a thread for my Magnetic Tank bag Dilemma. Became proud owner of 2013 Blade last year complete with plastic tank.Wanted to find a way to use tank bag without having to fork out £,s for a new luggage system.
    I've got it!
    1. Purchase some strong Neodymium Magnets, the strongest grade you can get is N52, mine are N42 (20mm x 2mm)

2.Remove plastic tank cover from bike, place bag on tank where you want it, place magnets on inside of tank cover in line with magnets on tank bag (make sure the polarity is right and they will pull towards each other and stay in place). Draw around them and then glue them in place. I have covered them with gaffer tape for extra security.

3.Refit tank cover to bike and fit Magnetic Tank Bag in the usual way.

Less than an hour later....Jobs a good un!:D

Nice idea but not really any practical space and also, if you look at there model list they don't do them for a 1000rr either !

Im not a lover of tank bags for the scratchy reason but i used to use grip mat between the tank and the bag and that gave it some protection !
