Need new socks, I've had Bridgestone BT016 pro's on my 10 plate a couple times and i cannot really complain, couple times the front has felt a bit loose but have put that down to road surface, been reading all the posts on here, is there better, i just cannot decide!?! Lots of people recommending the PR4's, but i was trying to find out if they warm up well, or struggle to get warmth unless you ride them hard? Think m7rr's are outside my budget but heard people here mention these too. I can get front and rear 016 pro's for £215, and PR4's for £247.. I had looked into 023's knowing they'll last a bit longer in the middle, but again, in the cooling months, with the 023's will they struggle to get warmed up to be good. My riding style is a mix of both fast road or just bimbling around with my sister as she has just got her first 125! Any help and advise would be really welcomed, need to keep an eye on the purse but hoping some of you have had or use these tires now to help me decide. Cheers.
I really liked by Pirelli Rosso 2's (now 3 is out). Lasted me 2 years (mainly spirited weekends). Its a dual compound - so softer rubber on edge for lean and then a harder compound in the middle. But I think its more psychological - if you feel confident with a tyre then stick with it. But I like to try different ones - my recommendations: Pirelli Rosso2 Dunlop Sportsmax Qualifier 2
read a review on sport touring tires and the really like the metzler roadtech both the new one and last years.

I'm mega impressed with Rosso 3's ... just about to put the 2nd set on... this is after I've done 15,000 miles on Metzler M7's ... (not on the same set!!)
Im using the new conti sport attack 3 on the road and impressed loads, Handling is lovely and grip is there. Also use the race attack on the track aswell. Best tyres at the moment in my opinion
I am too due for a tyre change. My local dealer can fit Power 2 CT s for 210 or M7RRs for 265. Am tempted just to go for the Michelins to be honest
I religiously use Bridgestone S20 Evos and they are fantastic. I have used Michelin Pilot Power 3's and 2CT's in the past on an R6 and they were brilliant as well on and off the track. I hear very good things about Rosso 3's as above and Metzeler make very good tyres but I've not tried them on the road. Do you run a 50 or 55 profile?
Bridgestone S21 just fitted. Not that much experience with them yet, but they feel heavenly after the squared-off T30 Evos that they have just replaced.
No Bad Tyres anymore tbh Running Sportsmart 2's on the Gixxer, brill wet or dry. Metz M77R and Pirelli PR4's are mint too.
I was just chuckling to myself about this earlier on. I've just moved house and the decision to get the one we've got took me about 3 minutes. I was getting some new hoops the other night and spent hours watching reviews, reading reviews, reading all the tyre threads on here and then finally gave up and went to bed without ordering any. Next night I did the same again before having a word with myself and just ordered some M7RRs Decided to go back from a 55 to a 50 just for a change though. A decision I might regret. Do you think it's too late to change my mind??.............
I found a 55 rear made a big difference to the handling on my 09. Much nicer. Same on my old 955 Daytona.
