Just in case I have not already mentioned it, Simon and I were on at Snetterton yesterday (plus Scott as it turned out).

An early start trailering bikes, the first time I've seen 5 am in years
Anyway, it started off dry, then the heavens opened up for a while, but then it started to dry out again towards the end of the day, so about 50/50. I had to stay on dry tyres due to an issue with my pump and not being able to change my tyres, which many of you know I prefer to do myself.

I've still a lot to learn, but apart from having a great day out it did highlight some jobs that need doing to the bike in readiness for the forum track day i.e. I must be due a brake fluid change as it got a little spongy when very hot even though I've changed to SBS pads, the front wheel wobbles when raised and have since found that the bearings are shot so they are now on order. The last job being to buy some new Supercorsas as I don't know these Racetecs well enough. So if anyone wants them for Donnington then I can take them with me along with the tyre fitting gear.

Other than that, I'm sure Simon will add his experiences, but in the mean time here are some of the very few pics I took, plus my new GoPro positions with video to follow:-

Was a great day Gary enjoyed it even with the mishap ;)
Got up 3.30am (good grief might think about camping next time lol)
so that i could leave by 4.30am and get to track before 7am to get a garage space, which we did :)
Like Gary said huge rain storm for about 25 miles before the track, but it stopped around 7 miles from Snetterton, so we had a dry start, which was good :)
    Now for the mishap ;)
on my first session out, somehow I had my oil filler cap come off? and after 3 corners of spitting out oil all over my bike and back wheel I could smell it, looked down and thought ****, hand up and pulled off track, the the bike was a bit oily to say the least.
but after getting the van trip back to the pits, and the loads of cleaning the oil off the bike, Gary kindly agreed to drop from Inters to Novice so we could share his Oil fliller cap (thanks mate) and the rest of the day was great :)
Parkitt racing said they use loads of brake cleaner on the tyres to get off oil, and it seemed to work, but my next session out I was worrying about the oil quite a bit lol ;)
loved the track, not used to it like i am at Cadwell, so more trips are on the books :)

video is after the oil mishap
