The answer is always the same to your first question, most aftermarket exhaust manufacturer's state that you don't need a PCV and the bike will be fine.............Probably because they want to sell you the exhaust and don't want to tell you that you'll need to spend another £250 on a power commander and £150 to get it mapped. If your lucky you might be able to find a suitable map on the PowerCommander web site...............

But, everyone will say that you should fit a PCV as the fuelling changes with a free flow exhaust and you'll probably get an erratic tick over and you don't know if the air to fuelling ratio is correct. Free flow exhausts "normally" result in the engine running a higher air to fuel ration (Lean). And the OEM O2 Sensor is only a narrow band sensor, adjusting the low rpm fuelling, so it makes no changes to the mid to high rpm range fuelling.

If your running the Arrow without the PCV, then you don't need to fit an 02 sensor eliminator, continue running it with the O2 Sensor fitted, but once you fit the PCV then you need to fit a O2 Eliminator otherwise the PCV & ECU will be both trying to adjust the fuelling to what they think is the right air to fuel ratio.

Running the exhaust without the PCV Fitted - Leave the O2 Sensor Connected.

Once the PCV is fitted - O2 Eliminator Required.

I'm sure you'll get more advice as there are more technically knowledgeable people on here than me.

If your bike is a 2008 - 2013, there are plenty of maps available on PowerCommander web site, but if it's a later bike you'll have the same problem as myself with very little available.

If yours is a 2008 - 2013 then there is a map available on PowerCommanders Web Site, the map is PCV 16-02 510 : Arrow slip on with db killer, stock air filter an 02 Eliminator Fitted (Remember only the maps where the last three figures commence with the figure "5" are for European bikes, all the rest are for USA models.

Just copy and paste the link below and it should take you to the right page, this should be a decent base map till you get it mapped.

    http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/powercommander_maps_installs_product_buy_options.aspx?mdlyrid=16-002&make=19&model=208&make-n=Honda&model-n=CBR 1000 RR &year=2011&mk=19&mdl=208&yr=2011

Or you could contact Dyno Jet direct and ask them if they can advise you on which base map to use, they're normally very helpful.

No Problem, there's a wealth of knowledge on here and it's rare if someone hasn't already asked the same question.
