I know you can install 2 maps on the PCV, and a mapping switch, but can't find any info on how to install the switch.. does anyone know how to hook it up? maybe Arthur does hint hint I would like to get 2 mappings done and be able to switch between them because I will be using a Arrow GP2 exhaust, but will be changing the can to a quieter can when doing trackdays or races on tracks with 95db or 98db… anyone an idea?
Easy, any old switch connected to the PCV, then run the PC software and enable the map switch option, next send a map and it will ask map 1 or map 2 check it by running up the bike and flipping the switch, should show map 1 or 2 in the software tip, make sure your normal map is loaded to the normally open switch contact so if the switch fails you will be running the most used map
What he said ! I bought a switch from halfords for £2 and used the wire out of some old Ethernet cable If you don't want to spen £ on the official switch
how did I know you would come by, thanks Mr Guru So a switchwith 2 wires and I just jimmy the wires in the holes?? For the rest my tuner should know how to do dual maps, Just wanted to know how to hock it all up..
Yep that's it mate, I run the DJ switches they cost but are the part, or like Jamie says any switch from maplin or eBay etc or hi/lo beam if a race conversion? options are endless, and yes just poke a hole in the foam inside the PCV then poke wire through hole and do up screw you can have Mr Dyno do what you like with the map slots. Your welcome
cheers, just found my radiator fan switch from my old R6, that'll do, just have to find some cables, whall take them out of the missus' toy charger Any chance of having a pitmane limiter on the PCV without the IM? How much does the dynojet switch cost ( just out of curiosity )
I had mine dyno ed by Richard at dynojet baffle in baffle out map he charged me £20 I think for the switch but he fitted it and mapped both so I though was fair enough
