Any reason the insure hikes from £200 to £3500 if i tell the a PC is fitted??

a full exhaust has not made any difference to the premium...?

No idea ? They seem to load you for an item that at best will add a few bhp and is usually used to help match pipe to the bike !
MCE didn't charge me anymore for it on the bike others like you say added stupid amounts

Same as Jamie Mate, I declared all the mods including the PC and race exhaust. MCE didn't overcharge me either. Try go compare!!

On my previous rr8 I added a PC, and even though I had a long list of declared mods, when I added this one it increased my premium by c.30%. I argued the toss but it got me nowhere and I ended up paying it. I haven't bothered on my new blade as it runs good with the akra. Your quote is just ridiculous, so I'd shop around.

Sometimes it's not the specific mods themselves, it's the number of them. If you have what they consider to be a "heavily modified" bike they'll hike up your premium. So if you've declared 4-5 other mods, the 6th might make a bigger difference...
