So before i had a power commander my bike would run at 80 degrees, now ive installed a PC3 i noticed it runs hotter, around 90 degrees now. is this the norm?

I have updated it with the appropriate map from the PC website.

    Its a 2009 blade with R77, 02 sensor installed,

    cheers

get yourself a proper dyno tune, although I have never noticed it before on any of my bikes.

i think its just me being a paranoid dick,

I had previously run the blade without a PC so it most probably wasn't right before and now the weathers getting hotter so are the running temps.

Im getting it booked in at my local for a dyno tune so i know its right then! thanks guys :D

Seastar super bikes want £240 for a dyno session. Is that the going rate? i have the pc installed already, excuse me for my ignorance but i don't know whats involved? what could they possible do to justify £240?

A dyno is an expensive bit of equipment and a tune isn't done with 2 runs and 30mins... If they do it right they'll be looking at 5-10 runs and thats only doing 100 throttle, if the do 25%,50% and 75% throttle as well, then they are spending alot of time on it, and the hourly rate will be charge( or in this case a set rate )

Not sure what the going rate is though, but I do find it expensive, here in belgium your looking at around 150€( about 120£)

someone will be along in no time to let you know what the going rate is... maybe state where you live so people can recommend a place

    Thanks skippy,

Im in suffolk/norfolk so if anyone can recommend a place, I just thought £240 was a bit extreme.

Are the downloadable maps a million miles away from a dyno tune? I mean the bike is soo much smoother i dont have any complaints there, but to pay that amount and it not been much different id rather leave it :S

Hi Bloy, I use BSD in Eye Peterborough (I live in Suffolk).

Not sure on prices as I always get other stuff done as well. The guy is Mark Brewin, he is an excellent mechanic/engineer/tuner, Arthur rates him as well for dyno work. He does get very busy but he really knows his stuff. He gets the best out of your bike without risking the engine.
