Power Commander V Custom Map

Hi there, have finally booked the bike in for a custom map next tuesday (hope its not raining to much) at JHS racing in bristol, as I am currently running a yoshi R77 map with the akrapovic slip on can because dynojet dont have a uk map available for it ,

Has anyone used them before ?

Just wanted to see if I have made the right choice, there quote is £140 is that about right ?

Sounds about right money to me.

 

Iv been quoted 30 quid to just run it for a power output and then 100 to remap if I choose to

So 140 is pretty much the same

As expected the bike was running weak and did need a custom map started off at 163 rwhp ended up with 169 rwhp and a much smoother map which is all I wanted was all over around 4 -7000

The guys at Somerton Motorcycle Engineering (Somerton Dyno) http://www.somerton-motorcycle-engineering.co.uk/ were fantastic talking through what they were doing and what was happening to the bike, I also got a cup of Tea and a mince pie too

Even better it took 2.25 hours and cost me £94.50

I would recommend them to anyone in the Somerset area, really know what there doing and friendly

I took loads of video on my HD cam but the memory card was corrupted but did these with my I phone just in case not brilliant but you get the idea

It was well worth it dan, would be interesting to see how good the map you have fitted now really is as the one I had was well off even though DJ said it would be a close match ?

 

The map that Dans running is my custom map that was done by HM Racing, as our bikes are modded similarly I reckon it would be pretty close to perfect like mine

 

Ahh right thought he was still running the website map from DJ, he should be very close with your custom map then

Sure does, so much smoother and its nice to know that all is as it should be, although need a nice dry day to really appreciate what they have done to the bike, was pissin it down on the way home

Well its just I wouldn't use Dai's dyno shop .. bit far

 

You leave Dai alone, he's the only one in the village. Hahaha
