Hiya everyone ! I. Have two 929s. And was wondering if I can take the power commander off one , and fit it on the other without having to get it tuned? The only reason why I’m asking is that I paid a lot of money for a custom map , on the first bike. ? And would the custom mapping work on the second bike ? ( has same exhaust and KN. Filter ). Any info would be appreciated

All engines are slightly different, but it may be they're similar enough that it would work ok. Seeing that it's only a harness to unplug I think there's no harm in trying.

Thanks for the quick reply! So. You don’t think it would do any damage plunging it in, to the second bike ?

I don’t know much about power commanders. But my first bike definitely fills smoother and. Maybe a bit more responsive? Not to say my second bike not smooth or slow but I think they do make a difference? Thanks again for the quick reply

Well I don't have a lot of experience with them TBH, the last one I had was on my SP1 in 2002, and it actually f***ked up the fueling so much I had to remove it :D
But I do remember they were plug and play, so quite easy to remove/reinstall.
I'll let someone else with specific blade/PC knowledge give some more input.

The bike you take it off will then be on stock fueling again you know? Either way 1 bike is going to be stock and the other will be custom mapped. You need a 2nd power commander and upload the same map on both.

Two 929's will be fine on the same custom map if they're running the same exhaust and air filter.

Hiya ya I get that my old one going to be stock again , it’s just that my old one is low on compression , ,so I was thinking while it’s being rebuilt I could use the power commander on my new one ? The only difference is that the new bike must have a newer exhaust can , ( yoshi ). Because you can take out the baffles ? Many thanks for the info,

I had a custom map on my 2009 which i wrote off at brands hatch. bought another one and fitted the exhaust, air filter, and pc from the old one.
Took it to the same dyno for checking and it was perfect.

Sorry for my slow reply buz. ! But. Ya I’ve now put it on my new 929. And everything seems to be good. ? But I did put a filtrex performance air filter instead of a KN. And both bikes have a youshi on but one of the end cans must be abit newer because you can take the DB killer out. My new 929 hasn’t been on dyno yet ! But everything seems to be good. , and it’s made so much difference! (. Smoother. /. Faster, but that’s probably me , , and a lot louder with no DB. Killer in. ). Thanks again for your reply
