Hi All. New to forum - had a 2006 Blade a couple of years ago and have just taken delivery of a new 2014 HRC model. It is beautiful but in all the reviews noone has said anything about a big step up in power at around 5-6k revs. Is it just my bike or is this to be expected?? Many thanks!
The power delivery on my RR8 is super super smooth so I don't know what the guy is on about. Perhaps 2014 models are different but I doubt it. He could be referring to a couple of valves opening in the exhaust silencer. The exhaust tone does changes but power just keeps on coming in an extremely linear way
My 11 plate blade it's smooth but over 7k just goes into hyper mode. But I've had my bike mapped on th dyno so no suddn jump in power
I know exactly what you mean. Ive had my 14 blade just over a month now and at certain revs when the flap opens in the exhaust it gives you a kick in the power. You really feel the step. I had a 10 plate before and from what i can remember it was smooth all the way although i had a different exhaust fitted so had no flap openning. Ive just fitted an arrow system and first ride out yesterday i didnt notice the massive step in power as i did with the standard. I found the bike would hunt on tick over as well with the standard exhaust on the 14. Anyone else notices or come accross this??
