I'm unable to adjust the pre-load on one of my fork legs. It has a K-tech DDS cartridge kit in it.

Anybody offer any advice before I send it off to the suspension guy?

I'm thinking it's probably been over tightened in the fully open or closed position, but I don't want to force it in either direction and risk damage.

Have you tried using a long ratchet? Do not use your strength, but instead, give good impulsions, or hit the ratchet with a big hammer. It will works like an impact wrench. I always do it when something is stuck.
But as you said, the problem is you don't know if it's tightened in open or closed position...

I've done something similar, as in trying to shock it but not comfortable doing it with any more force. Had a chat withh K-Tech and they said when it happens it's common to snap caps. So I'll pull the fork leg and send it off. Thanks for your comments.
