My mate has something like DUC 999 which is cool and its on a small plate so the pull will come on the size more than the letters as they are legal to have (right size) .With the amount of cameras around every were i reckon all plates are memorable so go for it.

Its not bike specific really It is H6 then my surname lucky to have just three letters in it, My wife bought me R14 *** when I had the R1 it was £250 and This one was hers but we change cars so often I dont see the point in putting it on, and I intend to keep the bike for at least another two years :) or longer :) :)

Iv seen a few std plates on sheds of cars that end in DAN. Probably means nothing to them but anyone selling 1 are asking a grand for it so they can forget it

If the plate's special to you, mate, put it on. To anyone who doesn't know your name to start with, it'll mean nothing and wont be likely to stick in their memory. To everyone who knows you it'll just enhance your cool.

Did not think much of them until one day in 2010 having just taken voluntary redundancy and looking for a '' present '' for myself i came upon the DVLA's site. I noticed one in the general sales, it is not CBR specific but i think is better for it because it will suit any 1 litre bike and when i had it made up at my local Honda dealer (to keep in the loft until my blade finally arrives) the guy making them was so impressed he asked if i wanted to sell it !!!! I paid £299 plus the fee and have it on retention awaiting my future blade purchase.
Its not manufacturer specific and as such could be sold on far easier. I now like them !!!!

Well I have sent the retension certificate off to DVLA and ordered a plate to go on the bike now, so decision made :)

Carl, get one on the bike too, it seems a shame not to have the set lol :)

Never really liked them before, but the blade I just bought had one on and I quite like it.
The bike is a 2009 HRC colours one and the reg is MY 09 HRC...bit corny but I like it :)

Corny or not, mate, It's a lot more sell-able than a personal one. Result.

My 550 has got 666 in the reg. You'd be amazed at what I've been offered for that in the past. LOL.
