Bought new bar ends and finally got round to fitting them last week. On removing the old ones, I found that the last owner had removed the weights from inside the handle bars and had bodged the bar ends back in with insulating tape, rubber washers and a few other things. Ordered all the internal gubbings which I picked up today. After a bit of faffing about, managed to get the weights reinstalled only to find that the R & G bar ends in the pack only seemed to fit in the bigger diameter throttle handle bar, both were exactly the same. I assume one should be milled down to a smaller size to fit in the clutch side, as there's no way either are going to fit in. So, have I been supplied with two throttle side ones in the pack, or am I doing something very stupid (again!!)
Mate I thought both where the same size! They actualy fit into the clip on not the throttle tube! Please someone tell me I'm right?
Thanks guys but there is no way that the same size fits both ends. Think I'll phone r and g tomorrow and find out what I've done wrong
