Almost forgot I'd bought this off fellow forum member Daznorthwest a few months ago since he has bought an SP! Thought I better put it on ready for Spring!
Yes the poor old Blade has been sulking in the corner of the garage since her last outing last September! Don't think she was best pleased about my all consuming 'affair' with the ZX10R since then!
Dunno matey! Couldn't bring me self to start her up for 2 mins just to listen to it as it's not good for the Bike is it! It'll have to wait till she goes in for her 1 year service in a week or two's time, can't believe it's 1 year since I bought her!
I was tempted but I'd then have had to have got all togged up and gone for a Blat just warm the engine up properly. Mrs and the Winks put paid to that plan!
Looks well mate. I haves video of it on my old Repsol if you want to listen to it 2013 Cbr 1000rr abs repsol fireblade termignoni - YouTube
It's noticeable lighter, but it is a Track Bike so devoid of all the clutter on the Blade. Engine wise it has more poke than the Blade at the top end so makes for a better Track Weapon even though the ZX10 is 2010 and the Blade is 2013. The Blade has better low down Torque and driveability so is far better on the road and for touring which funnily enough is what I bought it for! The Blade is comfier but in fairness that's not fair to the Kwak as it's all set up for Track demolition The ZX has better sussies but only cause I threw £2K worth of Ohlins at it! Standard the Blade's suspension is better! On a twisty track or road the Blade is better due to it's engine being like the Wifes 3 litre diesel Merc, it just pulls like a Train so you never get caught out in the wrong gear etc. Somewhere like Donnington, or anywhere open the ZX10's supreme top end will always conquer!
