    Hi forum
Can anybody suggest an ideal route through / across the Pyrenees from Narbonne?
We are 6days into our 15 days, having gone dunkirk down through route napoleon (awesome) and now a bit unsure of where to head. Foix? We don't mind where we go but don't want to miss any must dos having come so far to get here. We've no itinery other than to head to Le man via the west coast for next weekends 24hr.
Sorry if I don't reply as my charger for the laptop has given up but I hope you can help and I'll view any advice given on my phone.
Can't wait to share our trip & pics on our return.
Cheers. Wot a trip so far
    Thanks

if you want a base I can try and get you cheap digs in Les Cabannes and at a Gite and give you loads of routes from there

    www.mairie-lescabannes09.fr

    call 0561649540

Small town but safe, great bar in the town square, cash point, small supermarket

will send you PM but having a base is great and the Gites are top rate - how many of you are there?

If poss try to take in the Palais des Rois de Majorque in Perpignan. Outstanding castle/palace type thing. Just about my favourite. And the walled town/castle of Carcassone.

You're in Cathar country! French Catalunya. I love that area. -sigh-

Thank you guys, weather been 36+ t'day, couldn't get gloves on! Glad to experience some wind in Narbonne. Excuse me!
It's just me and the missus, both on Blades.
Andorra sounds tempting, les cabannes look good.
Spoilt for choice. Just had 7 day old shave and soaking up the cotes du rhone.
    Loving every minute.
Please keep the advice coming. Got the wife nosing the map!
    Thank you

Les Cabannes just small place but you will find accom I am sure via tourist office there.

There is the huge solar furnace near font Romeo to visit. The road to ripol from bourg Madame is epic. Quillan to lavlanette superb

God I run a tour off the top of my head in that area.

Head down the A9 to Perpignan then pick up the N116 through Prades to Puigcerda then the N260 to La Seu D'Urgellet, Ribera, Vilamur and Sort then keep on N260 to Sort, Pujol, Comca de Dalt and keep on on the N260. If you want to stay in Spain head toward Pamplona then up to St Jean de Luz / Bayonne / Biarritz in France.
As a guide I did St Jean de Luz to Carcasonne following the N260 across the Pyrenees in a days ride, have a great ride dude

Andorra main place a bit of a ball ache.

Ax les thermes another good town, more going on.

If you get to les Cabannes you will see a montage of our trips on the fireplace!

Enjoy! This gang are a bit south of you, near Barcelona. Think they understand English. Maybe email them? The roads they ride aren't too shabby...

The N260 is probably the best most vaied road in the world. Do as much of it as you can. I'll be along there myself on Wednesday.

Avoid Andorra, it's a busy, shitty wase of time.

Hi guys, quick hello at mcburger stop, we're camped on a rest day today at lovely little site in Arthez Le Bearn.
Rode through Pyrenees yesterday, just awesome, sorry cannot remember road names without checking the map back at the tent.
Mad not to come over here if you ride a bike, blades just glide at pace, simply brilliant.
Little low on fuel last night but nice Madame in pizza van came to the rescue.
Weather a bit hot for me for riding but once you get your gloves on and hit the roads / views its all a pleasure.
Jenna had little mishap on a kerb in a car park smorning, slight cosmetics only thankfully and no injury just massive lump of gutted!
Pamplona tomorrow, waiting for navfree Spain to download to guide us through our next choice.
A week of doing what we love to go before we hit Le Mans 24hr on way home.
Getting used to riding one handed as 1,000's of bikers and everyone waves!!
1700 miles so far, petrol £1.60 and a Lt of oil burnt. Needs lots of overtime to pay back Mr Barclays but who cares when you're having this much fun.
Thank you for all the advise, nice to read also. Favour will be returned by pictures and stories!
    Aurevoir forum!
    Enjoy the Moto GP!

Hi.great ride down to Pamplona today via D933 & N135 just to pop our nose in Spain.
Stunning, very misty at the top.
Sooo tempted to head east and ride N260 but think the missus may struggle and our plan was to head back up west coast.
    Spoilt for choice. All fab
Bought a lotto ticket for the Euro t'day, wouldn't have to go home then....
If only. Hope all well back home
Gona get the missus drunk now and try my powers of persuasion, being pissed always helps!
    Cheers
