    Hey guys,

I know this has been covered before but i cannot find the thread im looking for.

Am I right in thinking you can buy the hrc qat tube by itself and fit without needing the other components, cables etc? Saving £80 or so.

Yes you can, but keep in mind the cables are a tiny bit short so adjustment of free play is limited. But new throttle cables are worthwhile if the bike is a few years old.

    Cheers OCD.

So is this the way people on here have generally gone? Or is it worth paying for the full kit or even a domino product?

The HRC throttle tube reduces throw to 1/6 ... so its not enough for some hence others have gone down the proper QT route.

Don't think you will be disappointed with just doing the HRC tube, was going to change mine out this year to a 1/4 turn but in all fairness I don't think it's worth the extra money and work so will stick with just the HRC tube.

I have just bought the tube and should be fitting it tomorrow.
What I am not 100% sure of is will there be enough free play on the cable without having to dig out the airbox, or are there adjusters on the cables buy the housing?

Let me know how it goes mate. Did you get any other parts or just the tube? Im guessing you need a new grip for the tube as a minimum.

Im changing the gearing too so probably best to stick with hrc otherwise i will flip it lol.

Got this sorted today. Hats off to those that have changed the cables, that bottom throttle body connection look fun!

Just enough free play in the stock cables, any tighter and i would have been aborting it.

New grips on, looks pretty cool. Just the rcs to fit now.
