I think Remal's got a nice set up with the Bags Connection/Motech gear. Sure I've seen photos of the bag and tent roll somewhere in the touring section.

    Cheers maybe pm him.

Martin I wouldn't dream of showing up at a road race in a car,
No fun getting a few laps in on it.

    FOr me this works perfectly

Ventura rack with main bag, then tent, thermarest (essential) and sleeping bag all stacked behind in waterproof bags

Totally stable and really quick to put on/off bike

It got me round Europe for a week last June without problems and prob. paid for itself on that trip with the hotel savings

    Hope that helps

I use the baglux for all valuables - documents camera / phone etc. - if you park up just take that with you - all else can stay. Plus buying clothes is now so cheap at supermarkets etc. you can almost just throw dirty away and buy new as needed - prob, cost less than 1 tank of fuel to do that for a week a way !

Depends how much gear you want to take I guess. Up until now I've always travelled fairly light, kreiga US 10 tail pack and Kreiga R35 back pack. But thinking of heading to Italy next month and I've had my eye on the Bags Connection Cargo Bag and the Tent Bag that goes with it. Reckon thats what I'm gonna go for, looks perfect for the Blade, and for my requirements.

    Tidy

Plus sleeping bag, waterproofs, camera / phone chargers ? ipad? documents, towel, washbag, waterproof gloves? Can of tyre weld, duct tape and cable ties, few tools

The list soon goes up - the above for a weeks trip, but you need MOST of the above even for a long weekend on bike

I was tempted to say something about cod in the first post lol. ..

Anyway the duct tape, sleeping bag , camera etc will go in a
Rucksack. Just need something to carry the heaviest of gear.
