I was in Colchester Kawasaki today having a browse and there is a 2008 rr 1000 sat there with an e seat on it. I had a sit on it to see what difference the seat made and it seems that the seat height is considerably lower than my 11 model. I could plant both feet firmly on the ground on the 08 where as I seem to only be able to plant the balls of my feet on the ground with the 11 model. (I seem to be vertically challenged).
Is it the seat or the model year of bike. Any one who has changed seats your advise would be very helpfull.

Think it might be the bike as I noticed no difference on my 2010 between the e seat and the OE seat, apart from it being more comfy that is :)

Think the OE shock on the 08 and 09 is slightly different from the 10 and 11 as the suspension set up alters slight when I have looked at superbike settings

I may be wrong though !

I had one on my 08 and made no noticeable height difference.... If anything a couple of mm higher? I think they are very good seats but miss the "slippyness" of the stock seat so now only use the e seat for longer trips.

Are the e seats narrower? I checked my stock seat and it feels more rigid at the sides of the narrowest section.
