So apart from R&G telling me a couple of years ago that RR6/7 Aero bungs don't fit the RR4/5 and they were wrong. After my off last weekend they have since ignored my email asking if they sell individual replacement crash bungs, but it's a good job I don't wait for numpties like them to get back to me as I found a single one from a breaker on fleabay claiming it to be from an RR7. Problem is when it arrived it had a smaller bolt hole and didn't fit (the lying @rses). Well not to be deterred I matched it up to my crashed bung and guess what, it appears that all Aero bungs are the same, it's just the alloy insert and spacer that's different. So I simply hammered out the insert and fitted my old one, result!!! Just need the end cap now as it never came with one. The moral of the story here is that, if you need a replacement bung, just buy any one and use the bits from your old one to make it fit properly. This single one cost me £21, a new pair would have cost £64.
I think you are right Muff ...RG do seem to have that take it or leave it attitude but its only a matter of time before the Chinese do an exact copy and pump them out at half price .......Look after your customer dudes! Its a very competitive market.
One of my R&Gs fell off at Snetterton, on the main straight. A marshal handed it back to me and I damaged the engine bracket trying to remove the broken stud. The R&G had been on the bike for 5 years. I emailed R&G , but got no reply. I wonder now why I recommend them?
