Start with a small pilot hole in the fairing. make sure everything is in the correct position and take your time with no mates around!!!
Make sure you've got the right diameter drill bit and if you make a minor mistake the overlap of the bungs should cover it.
I put a blob of paint on the head of the bolt to mark the fairing for drilling. Then I used a sanding wheel on a Dremel drill to make the hole bigger, that way I was able to adjust the position if I had to offset it a little.
