Alright lads Has anyone fitted any of the above? I don’t want to butcher my fairing to fit crash bungs, so was going to fit the non drill. I think you get a modified in fill panel for the fairing. I have just removed my original infill panel and lined the fairing up. It looks like a tight squeeze to get the bolt through with out disturbing or altering the main fairing.
Yes. I have. Got them done a month or so ago. I have the matt black 18 model and the red flash on the original fairing piece is missing on the replacement bits so I bought a new set to stick on. I had the bike serviced in Feb and just gave the shop the new bits and told them to do the work at the same time as my garage was freezing and I'm hopeless at that sort of thing. . If you can do your own then they should be great, mine look ace.
Hi. I have them on my bike, and indeed they look like a tight fit. The dealer fitted mine for me. Hope the attached picture helps in some way.
No cuts in the main fairing then? Do you know if the slider bolted straight into the engine mounting, or was it offset with a bracket. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure the included bracket will offset the crash bung. Here are pics on the R&G website: https://www.rg-racing.com/browsebike/Honda/CBR1000RR_SP/2017/CP0426/#gallery-10 Here is a shit video, but it shows most of the parts:
Here is a link to the fitting instructions: https://assets4.rg-racing.com/Image...ONDA-CBR1000RR-SP-SP2-17-NON-DRILL-KIT(1).pdf Did these come with the kit? Any help?
I had non drill sliders fitted to the 2007, I think that they were R&G but the brackets were offset. When it fell off the paddock stand a few years ago the bracket snapped.
@dern I think the 17MY onwards are a different design. But I hear your point. I would rather have them than not. Already saved me once from a parking drop.
