I thought I would document what I did to my bike to get it to behave exactly as I want it and get that YES! feeling.

Firstly - RaceFit Black Edition Titanium exhaust. I am sorry to say, but just fitting the slip-on exhaust made the bike totally appalling. There is no other word for it. My immediate observations were:

    1. Hunting for idle at low rpms and almost feels like it was suffering from a disease
    2. Noticeable power loss. You can feel it straightaway, what's the point of fitting a performance part if you lose performance?
    3. Below 3k rpm, the engine almost misfires and the air to fuel ratio seems very messed up.

Overall, I was completely disappointed and could not sleep for a night. This might be my OCD...LOL but I cannot stand a motorbike like that.

So here is what I did.

    1. Get rid of stock exhaust - 6-7kg? loss in weight (significant)
    2. Get rid of servo motor (makes space for PCV)
    3. Install a servo buddy
    4. Get rid of the O2 sensor (I noticed that there was some improvement in the idle already)
    5. Install an O2 sensor bung in the exhaust
    6. Install O2 sensor eliminator
    7. Get a Power Commander V
    8. Ask Dynojet UK for a map for a CBR1000RR (mine is a 2010 model) with stock air filter (or the airfilter you've got) - or ask me, I will email it to you.
    9. Install the map onto your PCV (you don't need dyno tuning, believe me. Their map is very precise).
    10. Get rid of rear footpegs, install seat cowl, install rear hugger (makes no difference to the performance, but makes your bike look cool :) )

The bike is now so lightweight and powerful that I am completely blown away. The last time I had this feeling was on my race tuned ZZR1400 with a full exhaust system. This is the same, except it is 90-100 kg lighter. So, in fact it is even more powerful.

Straight after the PCV installation today, I was getting back from the garage and the linear power delivery is so bloody smooth, I nearly cried. Ha ha. I am not a fan of wheelies and stuff, but all I had to do was open the throttle in first gear and the front wheel was in the air straightaway. This is just incredible. I hope you find it useful. Just thought I would share my experience of tuning the bike. This is the final result.

That was the main reason I bought it. Bike looks sooooo good. Like a MotoGP machine. I think it also depends on how sensitive your hearing is. I've got really sensitive ears. ...learnt it the hard way.

I really like the pipe werx gp with 63mm link pipe. But have a feeling that's louder but they do a baffle for them so might not be that bad

I have just fitted a racefit black edition to mine, loud is and understatement, unable to fit a baffle to a black edition without changing the end cap. Mine hunts like mad but no pcv as yet, sounds cool with the hm quickshifter though but need to get it sorted.
