Well I had a nice day here yesterday and decide to see what the difference was between my old akrapovic and my new racefit, it terms of noise it was chalk and cheeses though my akra sounded good but the racefit is as everyone on here has said is something else!

It's does have a growl when you wind it up the revs and has a real rasp to it! I rode round a verity of roads and while filtering traffic I blip my throttle a little so that traffic can here me coming, well here is the funny part and I believe similar has happened to others on here who have one, I'm filtering and blip the throttle as usual and the lady of a couple walking merrily down the road absolutely SH!T herself, if she had been in a room she would have hit the ceiling and probably needed to change her knickers, she did give me a real dirty look but I couldn't stop laughing in my helmet it was one of those moments that would have earned £250 on you been framed.

So in short a great exhaust and will be fun riding as well as stationary!

So was that reading taken at idle or at the 7k rpm level that you have tested on a track day :D

At 5.5k mine read 111dB at the ring, they wouldn't allow me back on after.

At the great risk of sounding like a right old fart, I cant stand "over loud" exhausts; I mean, whats the point?

We have a young lad with a GSXR600 nearby; nice lad & nice bike. He "unfortunatley" has some kind of slash cut racefit jobbie & as a result, eveyone just thinks he is a cock!

Its annoying to everyone he rides past & lives near (judging by reactions & listening to comments).

He often rides past whilst I'm walking my dogs & they just panic; its not funny nor cool imo.

I'm a biker to the core & appreciate the sound of a quality race can; the deep burble on tickover, the rasp as the revs rise etc. These open things just give us a bad name.

I'm not saying you are a cock by the way, nor am I saying yours is "over loud"; I'm generalising.

    End of unwanted rant.

    :)

A vid from before but I think it emphasizes how nice and not so obtrusive a sound the Yoshi makes ;)

My son and son in law to be both bought a cheep carbon end can from the BMF in Peterborough 2012. My son fitted his on a CB500S and without baffles it is a loud as hell; but that is nothing compared to the same can fitted to my so in laws ER6, absolutely deafening, so much so it dropped off somewhere on a ride out and didn't notice till he went to clean the bike days later. Some cans are just tooooo loud. Depends if you prefer a moaner or a screamer I suppose.

Ha- you old fart! On a serious note get your point, people walking dogs when I'm out shouldn't be allowed.

    Joking dude....
