Love the look of the race fit but was put off by hearing how I needed to remap . I have a repsol 2015 I rung racefit themselves and they told me on the new blades there is no need to map?? True or sales speel?
I have a 2014 and it ran OK more or less as before but I wanted the bike to run smoother so had a power commander fitted
There isn't a bike on the market that when changing the exhaust wouldn't benefit from having a remap. Some obviously require it more than others. The 2008-2011 bike runs dog rough low down with a Racefit fitted and a PCV transforms it. The 2012 + I'm told is better but to get the best out of the pipe you really do need to get the fuelling tweaked.
even my old bmw s1000rr as stock benefitted from having a pc5 and re map, will be trying a flash tune on the blade this week coming.
Dave v has one on his 10. Absolutely fine, doesn't pop or splutter... Hunts on idle but runs fine on fly. Still returns same mpg.
i have a cbr1000rr 2008 with racefit gowler exhaust slipon on a s shape pipe and a kn air filter, anyone have a map share me, thanks for help. my email is [email protected]
Think you will find even a stock bike with stock exhaust system will benefit from getting remapped to the correct octane of fuel used by your specific country of use. The oem stock region fueling map is a base line worst case scenario which will allow the bike to run in loads of different environments and encompassing varying fuel octane levels and fuel qualitys. As mentioned the blade does tend to hunt on idle after changing to an aftermarket slip on but the majority of slip ons do not do away with the cat systems so a fair amount of back pressure is preserved keeping fueling within specs while on the move.
So I'm thinking of either a racefits black edition or a scorpion was going to pair with a pcv but kinda put off when some have said a pcv increases fuel consumption by about 30% Scorpion says it doesn't need any remapping but didn't know about the racefit
