Anyone fitted a rad guard to their bike yet?

Not sure how necessary it is but I guess it's something you won't know until after the horse has bolted.

I have seen both the r&g and beowolf one which is about £10 cheaper.

    How heavy are these?

Is the beowolf one as good as the r&g?

Getting a R+G fitted on monday, along with the first service. (£600) for a new Rad so seems like a good idea

Will take some pics for you once I get the bike back.

I went with the R+G because thats who the dealer recommended and it was inclueded in the sale, also my mate had one on his R1 and it seems to be good quality, but there probably is not a lot in it TBH.

(also fitting Akrapovic can, PCV and o2 elliminator on monday :) and I can't wait for the bike to make a bit more noise)

I would get one (and I need to!)

Zeepony and I went on a ride out and mine got a hole in it. Rad fluid literally all over the left hand side of the bike and all over the tyres. We were not riding at a slow pace either. Luckily we stopped and noticed fluid everywhere, otherwise I would certainly have came off.

Well if your slow enough to be riding behind zeepony you deserve a holed rad...........only messin lol.

I have a R&G on mine but didnt on my R1 and that ended up with a hole in it on a trackday, luckily only cost £25 to fix got it welded and just put a weaker antifreeze solution in there so it didnt eat away at the weld.

Loads of mates of mine have made there own up for £20

Think I will get and r&g

This is definitely the last I'm buying for the bike for a while. It's getting ridiculous now!

Just bought one on ebay. R&g for £59 new which seems good.

Hopefully won't need it but better safe than sorry

Already had a flat tyre this year about 60 miles from home when the bike was 400 miles old which wasn't fun so don't want to be stranded again over something stupid.

Didn't think you needed to remove the fairings to fit it

Thought just the inner trim panels would give enough room to get in

I fitted the beowolf guard, Didn't have to remove anything, It just hooks on top of the rad and you bolt it to the bottom of the rad. So its just the bottom bolt and unhook to remove it easily for cleaning. Iv just fitted a carbon fender extender to stop dirty water and stones flying up of the wheel
