Not sure if this has been posted but think its worth debate on here, I think everyone is at fault here and you cannot see how threatening the bikers were being to the guy in the first place as they all surround the car. Range Rover Runs Over Bikers in NYC | StuntBums
Well that's pretty awful!!! Where do you start?? Obviously what the Range Rover did is appalling but then if he felt threatened and acted in self defense to protect himself and felt his life may be at risk then his actions sadly are justified..... There is no excuse to bully other road users and if you are going to form an illegal roadblock then don't be surprised when someone doesn't want to be blocked by you. I will say this.... If you do wanna block a car with your little motorbike don't moan when it gets ridden over as that is your fault for putting yourself in harms way. Looking forwards to other peoples opinions
Yep I agree Navvy, why that second guy parked his bike in front and stood there when he's already seen the guys not afraid to ram bikes out the way is beyond me..
I tried to read the posts to accompany the video to find some background other than the cameras point of view, but sadly, they're not written in a language I have experience with.
I think something happened prior to the camera rolling thats why the white bike tried to stop the car in the first place.. This will be bad news for NY bikers thats for sure..
So he was on drugs then! And one of the bikers died during the first incident.... Never ever block a car with your own safety at risk especially if the driver is smacked out of his face!
Not the same incident Navvy. From the reports and viewing, the guy stopped after hitting the first bike. Seems some of the other bikers took exception and started hitting the car, when who knows whether the guy was about to get out and sort it as you would normally. If that was the case, then you cannot blame the guy for driving away facing such intimidation. Those bikers swarming the car reminded me of Mad Max 2. All over the bloody place with no consideration for anyone or anything. I hear that NY have since banned this motorcycle group from their annual rideout.
Ahh I see now. If there was a child in that car just imagine how terrifying it must have been for the little one! Looked like mob mentality was taking over so it would have only escalated from the bikers. I had a moment with a large chapter of MC uk on the motorway and they can be a law unto themselves...
With his 5 month old child in the car and his wife I cant say I blame him... But hes a fool for thinking running over the bikes is going to make the situation better...
The only thing that surprises me, as a regular visitor to that area, is the complete absence of the old bill, normally you cannot go 10 yards without seeing a crusier, just sums up the old adage, whenever you need a copper you can't find one.
Hard to say as clearly there was something already going on as the footage starts - something has obviously already occurred at that point. But from footage shown there - those bikers should be ashamed of themselves. They behaved like pack animals and I don't blame the guy from doing what he did if he feared for his family. I would have done the same. And footage like this gives us decent bikers a very bad name
