Evening all, Sorry if I'm ranting here basically my fireplace rr5 has an awful rattle on over run it sounds like there's something getting thrown around in the sump. Tomorrow ill be stripping fairings exhaust and sump off to inspect can anyone she'd some light on what it is I may find. The bike is immaculate 16k well serviced and bought from a well know shop.
Try and stick up a video of it if you can mate. The sound won't be great to fully understand what is going on, but it will let us know how and when exactly it is happening. Don't do it too often though as you may cause more damage.
Can you hear it when riding ?, CCT would sound rattly on over run of engine revs . If you do pull the sump off , don't be surprised if there,s loads of slack in the oil pump chain.............Most cases it's quite normal.........If there's marks on the case where the chain has come into contact then nows the time to change it
