Yup I was in Millenium Motorcycles today to pick up my standard Rearsets and have some breakfast when a RC8 pops out of the back of a van .The dude was changing it for a Something else .Its orange and White 2000on the clock and a 12 plate think its around 9 k .my be of interest to DAVE ....................
weird - was looking on biketrader at these today thinking 'maybe a swap for the R1' next year - would need a decent test ride, that R1 is epic on the right road (just a shame we don't have many round Manchester)
Colin, seen brand new for 10.5k with px wanted and it was a yam dealer too. Also piston heads got one with BST wheels etc for just over 9k Ahh - the voices!
Suppose it depends on the model year of your bike also Al (09?) Besides it all comes to the change price and not what you get for yours.
KTM RC8R BST (2011/11) Motorcycles for sale | 7604105 | MCN Thoughts please - challenge would be selling the R1 to fund this
Looks a fab deal n you could sell the extra wheels n other bits n make sum cash back?? Plus u wont see many if any at ur local meets esp in that colour, if ur heart wants it go for it, nows time to do the deal when weather pants
Problem is shifting the R1 sat in garage, cannot do any deal without that Makes the brand new one a much easier proposition - new bikes cheaper / easier than 'great value' used bikes like that one
I nearly bought one privately,black/orange,11 plate with 995 miles on the clock, had been advertised in autotrader for at least 4 weeks that I know of and the price had come down from £8995 to £7995,would have offered £7500 and maybe met him half way.I think £9750 is too much especially with that mileage,I was looking June this year, test rode one at Craigs Dewsbury, great bike but I thought the blade was better so that's what I bought.Even with the £3000 wheels too much for me,I'd want it for a grand less.
