Any SP2 owners on-board? If so, please post up in this thread. I have a confirmed allocation here in Houston and have only managed to locate 3 other folks with confirmed SP2 orders - and 1 is here in town, another on the east coast and 1 in Germany. Trying to find out anything I can ahead of delivery and reach out to UK/Euro SP2 owners. I have already spoken to Ten Kate and they of coarse have reported some interesting things and have indicated the bike is a bloody rocket ship with race exhaust and their intake trumpets.
you might have quite a wait RC45 I was under the impression the SP2's coming to the UK were for the race teams only. there are few SP1 and standard blade owners on here though. Do you race or have you ordered yours just for road use.
Wow. Here we where thinking the SP2 already hit the show room sin the UK. It turns out the German guy has had his since January 2017 so it was probably from race team allocation. So it makes sense that any SP2s in the UK might only be for race teams for now. We are getting a confirmed 40 SP2s here in the states (Unknown is this number includes the 3 bikes the Broasters Chicken MotoAmerica team got earlier in the year) The 40 have been divvied up between all the largest volume CBR1000RR selling dealers in each of Honda's sales regions in the US, each of these dealers will only be getting 1 bike. The latest details are 500 bikes world wide spread over 2017 and 2018, so hopefully the UK will get some for general consumption as well. I am just a weekend duffer and don't street ride any more and was only planning to use the SP2 for track days. I should imagine it is going to be quite an adjustment for me - my normal track day bike is a 90hp 360lb RZ500. Ten Kate have told me that the SP2 is good for 200hp+ at the wheels with the race exhaust and intake trumpets.
We've managed to get hold of one for a customer, delivered last week. One of only 38 (or is it 39) UK bikes.
Thanks for the responses. I presume these are for general consumption and not specifically supplied to BSB or other race series privateer teams.
Yes, this is correct, he reached out to us via 1000rr.net. He has 1 remaining SP2. Thanks for the reply - much appreciated.
My local dealer, KENT MOTORCYCLES, has an SP2 in the showroom which has just been sold, and they have been knocking out SP1s and stockers all year.
Well, 7 months later and Honda says our SP2s will be delivered after the January 30 release date. Any word on how many other UK SP2's eventually showed up?
I am sorry but i cannot get my head round this ... i have had many Honda's throughout the years and the one above is f**kin ugly and just not worth £22,000 and they said it was going to one lucky owner ...if i won the lottery tomorrow i would be nowhere near this ...sorry Honda this is just and overpriced pile of rubbish

What colour are the UK SP1 engine side covers? Gold or black? Looks like all the US spec SP1s have black plastic engine side covers. Here is hoping the US spec SP2s get the same gold engine side covers under the plastic covers that the UK/Euro spec SP2s got. I am dreading that our US SP2s are going to be nerfed in the engine department similar to the way the US RC213V-S was.
