Rear axles

    Hi,
    Does anyone know the diameter of a 2008 rear axle? I'm offshore and want to turn a pin to help with changing the rear wheel. Really should of measured mine before I left!!

    yes its defo 330mm and a 22mm wheel nut

    Is the nut 22mm across the flats? Its the actual diameter I need.

    22mm thread and the nut is 30mm

    I this the stub pin which you push in to locate the caliper bracket? Don't fancy making 2 x do you? :D

    Sorry its not. Just a pin to hold the caliper carrier from the right side until the wheel and spaces are aligned.

    Yeah thats what I was on about. If you have the opportunity to make 2 x I'll buy one from you. I saw the guy selling the captive spacers using one and thought it would be a useful addition.

    I work offshore too but I'm a spark and getting the okay to use the lathes etc is a pain it the arse as I'm not mechanical trades.

    The Diameter of the spindle is 25mm this is the size you need.

    Why not make the caliper captive then you do not need the holding pin? Drill and counterbore the square block for a 5mm cap screw then drill thru this to tap your caliper bracket 5mm. Once you have adjusted your chain secure the block then tighten up ur spindle nut.
