Hi, Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear foot pegs on a 2012 Fireblade please. The bloody things are bolted from inside the rear frame and the electrical tray that holds the battery and relays etc is in the way. I did have a quick look at removing the battery tray but I couldn't see how to remove it from the tank end. Thanks John
I've saved the link mate for when I do mine, I've got Sato hooks to go on in case I need to take a pillion
Worse part is the forward undertray and relocation the screws to reassemble it. A few 6mm holes in the battery tray help and don't affect anything. Mines been off twice now and it's easy enough.
this can be done much easier. only outer plastics needs to be removed completely. no need to remove tail light and under tray. then remove one half of subframe at the time and other half keeps the tail and undertray in place.
This question has been cover loads of times.......if you search (I presume) as we have new look old threads will still be there......pics and descriptions are endless....I did the remove plastics and split sub frame......
Thanks. I have removed them this morning. I did remove the plastics tho, as I hadn't seen you message before I started. The job from start to finish took just over an hour
Thanks I did do a search but the links didn't work and all I got was requested page could not be found.
Removed the rear foot pegs from my 2015 blade yesterday, I did it the way " Charger " says, easy to do and only took an hour. Rear end looks so much neater without them now !
Any you guys done this on an ABS? Is it still as simple as removing outer plastics and doing one side of subframe at a time?
The ABS has a mount slid in-between the pegs and the frame, so you'll most likely struggle doing it without the full strip down. You also need a couple of spacers so you can put the bolts back in to secure the abs mount. I used a couple of oversize nuts.
