I'm in the market for a new rear shock for my rr8, for road and regular trackday use and IOM trips, I like to be able to set the bike up for specific roads as some loops I do in snowdonia are real smooth some are very bumpy.
I have recently rebuilt my forks with k tech valves, seals and springs and the results have been amazing......a lot of work but only cost a fraction of new forks.
Anyway I'm thinking of getting the k tech 35DDS pro.
So does anybody have experience or advice on this matter.
At £1180 its a fair investment and am wondering if I could refit to a latter model blade if I wished in the furure or if they fetch good prices second hand.
I have been advised by a mate who races a rr9 blade that due to the unit pro link only the best ohlins or k-tech make a decent improvement.

    Any advice appreciated

Easy as to fit mate. Abba stand or something to take the weight off of the suspension and a few bolts later your done.
All in 30 minutes n your done.

Get yourself a Ohlins from the States. I recently got a MkII TTX for way less than you get here.

Changed my shock a couple of weeks back and found the only problem was dropping the shock down through the swinging arm. The pipe work on my LV GP pro got in the way where it loops round. Other than that it's just a 14mm socket job.

Andy Mentalist is looking to swap his shock over and was looking at the 2012 Blade shock as an option - have you thought of that?

I have Al and its defo a lot cheaper but my mate who races the blade (tony) you've met him at valley, did the later model shock thing, although an improvement found that it soon started to tire and reck rear tyres, admittedly he rides at a few notches faster than me but hey ther's nowt wrong with having a bit of optomistic ambition and I'm slowly but surely improving.:)
Business has been good so I can justfy the expense just wondering if top bollox suspension is worth it. It seems that most folk reckon decent suspension is a must for improving your track riding.
