I have just fitted a new k-tech DDS rear shock but its touching the swing arm near the top of the swing arm.

I'm positive I have fitted it as the workshop manual and the picture of the old shock - can anyone advise?

    Cheers

I am sure it is - the first picture is the original, the second is as it is no and both look the same and as the workshop manual.

I can only imagine the shock is a different length or K-tech sent me the wrong one!!

Soon as you put the weight back on the rear subframe and bike it will correct itself, it is touching because the rear is at it's longest droop.

Triangles are correct, did you measure and adjust the new shock to the same length as the original?

I just tried that and its still touching. The k-tech shock is a lot wider at the top than the stock one.

I'll have to bell them in the morning.

Fair play to k-tech, they rang me this morning without having to be chased and are sending a courier to collect this afternoon.

So did they realise their error without you calling them?

    That's great service from K-Tech.

While you're waiting, order up some tasty Ti linkage bolts too
