Headstock stand, pinch bolts and wheel out easy.. undo each pinch bolt a bit at a time and same to do up a little on each at a time and do not overtighten.

How do you know if they are lined up properly Arthur? Is their marks or do you offer wheel up etc?

They should line up no problem but you can put wheel in pinch up spindle and redo pinch bolts with forks in a nice even and equal poss, but remember the wheel will add weight and make it hard to keep them in poss without a bike ramp etc etc, there is a right and a wrong way to fit a front wheel also I fit the wheel and spindle and calipers do not tighten wheel spindle pinch bolts I then spin the wheel and snap on the front brake once or twice to settle the wheel and then do up the pinch bolts some people dive the forks once or twice just try not to pull the forks together when the wheel is fitted, its often overlooked with bikes and can cause uneven fork ware and sticktion/poor fork operation. Did I complicate that or what..lol

Lol yes you did I have taken my front wheels off both my bikes but not used that technique to tighten them
Back up I'm worried now or is that only after fork removal?
